A touch of Autumn Potholder

Inspiration

Looking for thick crochet potholder? If yes, you are in the right place. I have crochet several potholders but this time I wanted something I do not have to fold or even if I am in a hurry and forget to fold I don’t get burned. At first I thought of joining 2 yarns together but then decided against it because of my wrist. I did not want to put too much strain on it and 2 strands would be too thick and hurt my wrist. I try as much as I can to preserve my hands and wrists. I love to crochet too much that I try not to put too much strain on my joints and hands.

To make this crochet potholder thick, I decided to crochet two layers together instead of on layer. To achieve that, I started with a chain crochet around it on both sides thus doubling the number of stitches. I continued in spiral rounds until when the potholder is folded in a triangle the ends meet. You can leave it in the same shape and just join the ends, but I wanted it a bit stylish so I to fold it in a triangular shape.

As the days go by, so is the next season coming up. I love Fall. I think the weather is just right. No weather extremes of the outside being too cold or too hot.

I always love to share my crochet projects with as many people as I can and what other way to do that than in a blog hop? That is why I joined the Autumn Harvest Blog Hop hosted by Previously, I have found that when I make big resolutions I barely go a quarter of the way before I give up. So, this year I decided I would start with the paper towel. I want to use as few paper towels as possible, and see how much cash I will save by the end of the year.

Below are the designers participating in the Blog Hop.
