Cool Spring Shawl

Inspiration

This Cool Spring Shawl is one of those patterns I designed without real prior planning. Yes, I had been thinking of making a shawl/wrap and even had an idea of how I wanted it to look. So, I just woke up one morning and decided today was the day. I went to my stash, looked around, and picked the yarn. I went to my pattern book, looked around, and chose the pattern. I sat down made a swatch, decided I liked how it looked and started making it.

I like the way the shawl turned out. It is light perfect for spring, summer, and even fall. The best addition you can add to your wardrobe for those breezy evenings and chilly mornings. The pattern itself is easy to make too, using single and double crochet stitches plus chains.

Yarn

I used Lion Brand Cupcakes in Sandcastle. I loved the yarn because it is light and has the perfect look of what I was looking for in a shawl. The yarn is soft and has the right texture.

You can substitute this yarn with Lion Brand Mandala, Bernat Baby Sport, Yarn Bee soft and sleek DK ,and Bernat Baby Sport Sparkle.

If you use the substitute, make a gauge swatch first to make sure you get the intended measurements.
